Hacked !

Had a message from my friend asking if I had emailed her, she hadn't opened it as it looked suspicious. It was sent from an email - my name with a different strange sounding account Something .com.br ??? Worried now as I am a bit lacking when it comes to tech security eg, don't often change passwords etc.. Have just changed passwords now but is there anything else I can do , anyone to report this to ? Thanks.

You haven't been hacked, otherwise the email would have your actual domain name on it ie not .com.br

Sounds like a common Phishing scam. They are trying to trick the recipient into opening a dodgy email, or click on a dodgy link in that email by conning them into thinking it was sent from a trusted friend. When it wasn't. You have changed you password, just tell your friend to delete the email and NOT to open it.

I had one of these emails. Not sure if it means that it was me or them that was hacked. But we both changed our passwords just in case.
