To find the love between Freddie and Mary so sweet

I saw Bohemian Rhapsody this weekend and was struck by the lasting love between Freddie and Mary. They dated for several years yet it seemed to last for the remainder of his life and he left everything he had to her, more even than his long term boyfriend. Aibu to ask what makes a relationship like this.

I've no idea, but I found the way it was portrayed in the film really sweet too.

Mary is apparently the only person that knows where Freddie’s ashes are, as per his request.

I’m a huge Freddie fan so I’m probably biased but I think he’d be a wonderful friend to have, and I imagine that Mary was just happy to have him in her life, in whatever capacity.
