You know that high pitched screaming/screech some young kids do? I absolutely hate it. It hates my ears hurt. I can manage noisy kids, but I hate hate that.

Screeching and screaming kids led me to move house. It wasn't the only reason but it was a big one. I have ASD. It was exhausting having to listen to them.

I once jumped (startle response) in a Target store aisle once a toddler did that then walked away and that child’s mother followed me around the store screaming at me saying despicable things to me about my children how I was a horrible mom. It was a toddler old enough to know better but I never said the first word about her kid just wanted to get away if she did it again! I really should have told her to back off or I would call police but these days you just never know who will use a weapon on you. Anyhow those type of screams are utterly awful and I have zero issues if a parent has a screecher but will say to a child who can understand “Shh” or “Use your inside voice” or whatever since they grow out of it but if you sit and do nothing when the child can control it then that’s despicable in my opinion.

No they don't….especially if one tries to wear them several hours each day to maintain one's sanity. In this case the problem is lazy parenting.....the 2.5 yr old twins have a father who plays video games, and a mother who can't bear to be in the same room as them, certainly no attempts to help them speak! Pity the poor neighbours. The only person who appears to be trying to teach them anything is their maternal grandmother.

It's really annoying, can't stand screeching children. I generally carry headphones and drown them out with my music.

My neighbour kid does this and it drives me insane. I know he’s only little but my god!! He stands on their balcony and just screeches into the wind and they leave him to it?? I get that they’re probably sick of hearing it but I’m sure the whole neighbourhood is too.

Local playground, family arrives with all kids screaming at the top of their voices. Well it is a playground, no problem, annoying for us but fair enough.
Except that it wasn’t a one off, same family every single day, 30min+ with children screaming non-stop.
I wonder if they are going to notice that everybody else now goes away when they arrive.
