Who should drive

We are off out to lunch with friends and I think he should drive as he's been out all morning for his hobby, plus all day yesterday. He thinks I should drive as I normally would but every time I drive he complains about my driving. AIBU to insist he drives as I have been the one to look after DD's all weekend.

Of course YANBU. His argument that you normally do is an argument against you driving! Stand firm OP.

Taxi so you both can enjoy? Compromise?

Taxi isn't an option as it's over an hour away so on a Sunday would cost a fortune . Also DD's are driving me nuts this morning, they somehow can not play nicely together, so I feel a glass or two of wine would be welcome at this point

The fact that you normally would drive is an argument that he should this time, surely? Also if he's spent all weekend relaxing and doing what he wants then yes, of course he should drive and let you relax for just one part of the weekend.
