Send help.

DS can crawl now. I actually encouraged it.

What. The. Hell.

As I type this I can only have 1 eye on Mumsnet as the other is on the feral crawling child.

But now my 5 year old has reasoning skills and can out-argue me"

But don't worry because they mainly consist of I'M NOT LISTENING YOU'RE A POO POO GIVE ME A BISCUIT.

DS2 at 11 months barely crawled and didn't walk around the furniture at all. I thought I had ages to go before he walked because DS1 had walked around the furniture for months. Then one day DS2 just stood up in the middle of the floor and walked. He was kicking an apple round the garden on his first birthday.

Many years ago DS1 suddenly went from nothing to going up all the stairs in one go (I was following him). The cat - non too impressed with him at the at the best of times - was resting on the landing. On seeing him she turned her head with an expression that said 'Oh god! It can climb the stairs now' and stalked off.

@weltenbummler

"Developing mobility before general sense of safety matures... a major design flaw by mother nature"

So so so very true.

This morning I watched like this O_O as our less than 7 month old daughter attempted to pull her knees under her into a crawling position. Luckily It hasn't worked out for her yet.

We are also pulling ourselves up on furniture and then thrashing about like a fish out of water once we are Standing and don't know how to get back down. Sad

Sounds like too much alcohol on an empty stomach OP.
Have some soup with a bread roll and some water before bed.
