I’m quite enjoying the desperation of Martin Freeman

In the new Vodafone ice skating ad.

He does a random ice skating performance, cheesier than owt you’d see on Dancing on Ice.

I always thought he came across as a bit of a knob, and my friend worked as a runner years back for Sherlock and said he was rude to nearly everybody, had it was known that he just not a ‘people person ’.

I always thought he wanted to be a serious actOR so maybe he just really needs the money right now.

I quite like Martin Freeman as an actor. I don't know him personally, if we met half the people we see on the box we'd probably be surprised.
So what if he likes to keep himself to himself, so do I generally but the difference is no-one will speak or write about me because of it.

The only thing that matters to any of us about Martin Freeman is that he does a good job & I haven't seen him do a bad one.

Met Martin Freeman when I was a teen at a wrap party. He was a complete rude knob and an absolute weirdo.

I don’t like his Everyman schtick at all, but he’s consistent at what he does, so if people want to keep employing him, good luck to him.

I enjoy him as an actor though. He has that 'everyman' archetype down.

My first thought was of David Mitchell the novelist and I was all like he does ads? for a second.

I’ve been to hear him speak but I still wouldn’t be able to pick him out of a lineup

You know when you’re feeling a bit rough and see ‘some old woman glaring at you’ only to realise it’s a mirror...well, that was me —most days— today. I Googled Martín Freeman because I didn’t know who he was (I’d identify with him being the DH in LA & Watson) ...well, dear god! I feel better now, he looks a good decade older than me and he’s younger.

I had never even heard of Kevin Bacon before I saw him in an advert.

Adverts pay very well and acting is a precarious profession so I don't blame anyone for doing them. The actor might be flavour of the month one minute and then forgotten about for years.
