I’ve read about them now want one but they cost a minimum of £80 for the knock off ones and double for the proper ones.

I feel your pain I really want one too

Urbanbeetler · 09/11/2018 22:33

Why?

Joinourclub · 09/11/2018 22:33

I love a heavy duvet, so i get the appeal.

Jaguarana · 09/11/2018 22:34

You can make them much more cheaply than you can buy them if you are at all crafty. Look on YouTube for instructions.

BifsWif · 09/11/2018 22:34

I fold my duvet in two and it helps my anxiety no end, so I’d love a weighted blanket.

If you can afford t, get one.

Urbanbeetler · 09/11/2018 22:35

Ok I read a bit about them now. They are pricey.

MyCakeFellOnTheGrass · 09/11/2018 22:43

I’m not crafty at all and I can’t afford it.

They are magical and solve all your woes apparently.

You can make a trial one with rice, sandwich bags and gaffer tape to see if you like it.

ive wanted one for years for my boys(14, 8) who have asd(any many others)but its supposed to be 10-15% of the body weight to have any effect

but as they are both big boys at 10st.7(14y old) and 115 pounds(8 y old) its going to cost a lot to make as its going to have to be heavy

TulipsInBloom1 · 09/11/2018 22:46

Or just pile your clothes on your bed and then crawl under the duvet. No need to put away laundry plus free weighted blanket. Win win.

MissLadyM · 09/11/2018 22:47

I've got a lovely vintage bedspread on top of the duvet. It's very heavy. Get a decent version of the thing that will make you happy. Buy the proper one- you're worth it!

DaysOfCurlySpencer · 09/11/2018 22:48

If you just want the feeling of being hugged, cuddle a hot water bottle or a big teddy.

Fluffychickenmonkey · 09/11/2018 22:49

I seriously want a weighted duvet! Although DH, who has PTSD has said absolutely no way.Sad

Aquamarine1029 · 09/11/2018 23:21

I really want one, too. For now I settle with my cats laying on me.
