Having a lovely thread?

I've been having a shite time lately but decided to make an effort and put my big girl pants on. I've bowled out with a positive attitude and encountered such lovely things today!

Many compliments, bumping into an old friend who I was really pleased to see again, finding my dream hat in a charity shop for peanuts, getting a free coffee & doughnut, getting my fave luxury food reduced a lot, finding a tenner in a bag I haven't used for ages and actually laughed until I nearly pissed myself ( the thread on here about mortifying moments)!

I've passed it on to others (charity but I don't like to talk about it), being nice to my old cow cat bum mouth neighbour & ending up bonding a bit, and giving a friend a bag of mine she's loved for ages.

Pass the love on! X

The picture DS (2.5) and I made out of autumn leaves yesterday is looking awesome, and he fell asleep cuddling me earlier (he was poorly all night). I've now made pizza dough which I absolutely can't wait to make into yummy pizza, and DP is fixing the car problem he's been meaning to get at for ages, so we're a happy household Smile and the till lady in Tesco was lovely and chatty earlier, which really does make a difference!

I'm snuggled up, with my baby girl asleep on me, reading mumsnet. So lovely.

I took my DGMs exstensive eye glasses collection to a charity recycling drop off.
She passed away last month, and the thought that she is helping others even now is really comforting.
The fireworks have Finally abated so my much loved very old firework phobic dog is sleeping peacefully beside me instead of being absolutely terrified.
I'm having sweet and sour chicken and special fried rice for my dinner.

Scrap the fireworks bit

Today I put up my Christmas decorations and posted a picture in the mumsnet Christmas section. I'm drinking mulled wine and I've opened a box of Christmas chocolates. Later I'm going to have a bubble bath and then put on my Christmas pyjamas...I feel so happy I may actually pop! [santa]

VelociraptorRex · 10/11/2018 17:08

@Therunecaster I'm at least a month off the Christmas stuff yet, but your enthusiasm has really made me smile, thank you Smile

Therunecaster · 10/11/2018 17:10

Your welcome.

Therunecaster · 10/11/2018 17:15

You're...too much mulled wine.
Wine

VelociraptorRex · 10/11/2018 17:43

I was struggling because it's been the typical Saturday of running kids to activities - however, I had a lovely brunch (1/2 hour on my own!!) and also my Birchbox arrived with some little beauty treats - that was a good 20mins looking at the things. Nice lip salve. Thanked a friend who is doing me a favour. Ummm, now I have to go out and watch a play my DD is doing. It's going to be a looonng evening but maybe I can pass it on somehow!

The hat is a black oversized beret with pearl studs. Nicer than it sounds and very comfortable. I've got a big head so berets often pinch! I'm in my rose scented bath now, new PJ's on the radiator!

I found a tenner and two fivers in an old bag, I was really pleased until I tried to buy some things in Boots, and the girl told me they were out of circulation, but was happy again as the Post Office exchanged them for me.....Happy, Happy meSmile

I have done all the Christmas shopping for 1 DC - 3 left to go. Had a lovely lunch with DD's. Bumped into some people who were nice and lifted my spirits when going through some real rubbish at the moment. STBXH has gone out for the evening, so I can relax at home. 😊
