To feel neglected and disgruntled

I'm a bit sick, maybe just the tiniest ghost of a cold. I feel a little chilly and my favourite slippers are in the wash ditto fave dressing gown. Down to second tier slippers and dressing gown. To the naked eye they are identical but i know the difference.

Luckily top choice nighty is available. I just feel not quite sick enough for anyone to notice but a bit sicker than the current lack of attention warrants.

Should I waft some Lemsip around with a brave little smile or would that BU?

If you don't feel well, go to bed. Well that's what I tell my DCs. If you want to waft Lemsip around - well you just want attention really. You could put on the 'poorly voice' too for maximum effect.

You have to sigh dramatically and press your palm against your forehead...

I went to bed but not quite sick enough, may get up and look sad. My GP once did a poorly voice at me Grin

I could say loudly to myself "if only I wasn't too weak for a bath"
