To have cried (sort of) ....

..... in the office? We had a team meeting this morning, at which I gave a presentation. Flowers were mentioned (something to do with a floral laptop cover) and I wistfully mentioned before my talk that I love flowers and nobody ever gets me any. Just a lighthearted start as I get nervous sometimes when speaking.

On the way back up, a young guy I work with casually asked what my favourites were and I said 'white roses': I'm SO Yorkshire Blush When I got back from lunch there, on my desk, were some beautiful white roses. No note. No card.

There's absolutely nothing to this before anyone puts two and two together and makes 26 but don't you think that was an absolutely beautiful thing to do? It's made my day — I'm struggling slightly with the old menopause at the minute — and complete ruined my tough girl image Shock

That is really lovely. What a great person to work with!

This is the nicest thing I've read in weeks.

What a nice man. If he isn’t coupled up already I hope he meets someone equally nice soon.

Another hard face here - I'd have blubbed!

What a truly lovely thing to do. Is there any thanks system in your workplace? Or could you leave a glowing comment with HR?

Thank you for all your lovely comments. Just wanted to share my flowers Blush

I have let my colleague's line manager know what a lovely thing he did.

Happy weekend everyone Smile
