I don't know if walking out would have helped... The people who are appalled at Trump would understand why, but to those who lap up his nonsense it would be further proof of the media being unfair to Trump.

He just keeps surpassing himself doesn't he? even when you don't think he can get any worse.

When he started is "don't criticise how I run the country, get on with your own job" rant i really wanted someone to point out to him that it is exactly the fucking job of a political journalist to ask powerful leaders difficult questions

I'm annoyed that they all seem so deferential around him tbh, and don't call him out more on his shit. Could you imagine, for example, how Andrew Marr would be interviewing him?? It's like its unpatriotic to criticise him. I guess walking out would be a victory for him though. God I efffing hate him.

Sadly the president is also head of state, much like our own queen, so journalist are expected to be somewhat deferential.

I think it's also - stupidly - about not showing any political bias. For which they could probably be done.
