Bad host?

Light-hearted!!! (Fairly!! Lol)
Soooooo I have a 7 month old and am currently on my own with him as partner is overseas. Good friend is coming over for dinner and I'm cooking from scratch. I've already made chocolate brownies and in doing so lost out time to finish the house work!!! As baby needed me to pay and feed etc.....The house is clean but only fairly tidy...soooo my AIBU is, am I a bad host for prioritising baking gooey chocolate brownies instead of finishing the housework....?

Who cares?
Seriously, your mate's coming over. Just chill out and enjoy it.

Perfect host -I'd take the brownies over a clean house any day!
Thecurtainsofdestiny · 07/11/2018 18:03
Brownies are the priority.
Definitely not a bad host
ConciseandNice · 07/11/2018 18:03
You are clearly the ideal host. Can I be your friend?
TooTrueToBeGood · 07/11/2018 18:08
A true friend shouldn't even notice an untidy house and even the shittest friends like brownies.

I have a similar aged baby. I’m still not dressed. You’re fine.

Thanks all. My friend really enjoyed the dinner and took brownies away with her!! The baby was also eyeing them up with interest!! Lol!!
Onestep2 · 07/11/2018 22:13
I would never care about the state of my friends houses.... only what they were feeding me!! Glad you had a good night!!

I would rather sit on an un-vacuumed carpet with a cuppa and a home made brownie at a mates than in an immaculate lounge without baked treats!
