Implantation bleeding vs period!?

Hi everyone. New to this site so hi !
Anyway, I’m after some advice... me & my
Partner are trying to conceive .. my last period was 8th October (I’m 28 days regular) and a week later (once it had finished) we had intercourse that week... I experienced very light bleeding a few days later (along with very tender breasts, frequent urination & tiredness and extreme backache) I went to my doctor who asked me to hand in a water sample, which I done & recieved a phone call the following day to say I needed antibiotics for an infection which I’ve already taken, yet my other symptoms have remained the same, but when I pee it no longer hurts, but the frequency remains... I was due on my period Monday 5th November, but started bleeding on Sunday quite heavily which lasted until yesterday, and now today my period has totally stopped, given a very light brown discharge... my periods usually last 7 days.

Is there a possibility of pregnancy & my next period may be missed? I’m worried to test, incase im faced with a negative result, and wondered if anyone else has experienced this?
I will test soon, I just need the courage to do so.
If I am pregnant, it will be my first ... so I’m totally new to everything!

There's a possibility you're pregnant if you had unprotected sex, yes. Implantation bleeding isn't normally heavy, if you get it at all.

Only a test will tell you. Test with first morning urine and preferably a pink dye test (blue dye can be unreliable).

Sounds like you had an unusually short period, if you’ve had heavy bleeding at the time your period was due I doubt you are pregnant, sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear. When I was pregnant with my first I bled a little, but it was literally just a blob of blood the day my period was due.

Only one way to confirm whether you are or not is to test. Good luck!

With both my pregnancy’s I had implantation bleeding and it was literally when I wiped with tissue, was not heavy bleeding at all but everybody’s different!! Do a test in the morning, good luck!! X
