It's worth mentioning that it was the defence counsel who said this, not the judge. Defence Counsels are known for their unscrupulous behavior. I would like to think it didn't sway the jury 8 men 4 women, and I would like to think it wasn't a consideration.
Was it a unanimous verdict does anyone know?

Fluffy, I think you mean Lindsay Armstrong. She was only 16. Her attacker was actually convicted but she committed suicide. She was forced to hold up the pants she wore on the night of her attack. A horrible case that's always stuck in my mind
