To think Philip Hammond and Teresa May should be watching School tonight on BBC2

This programme is going to show the impact of austerity on three Secondary Schools in South Gloucestershire. Please tune in. If you can watch this and still deny that more money needs to go into our childrens’ education I’ll be very surprised. It’s made by the TV company that made Hospital previously and will show what teachers, parents and pupils face every day funding is cut.

Agree completely.

How do you know what its going to show unless you are the programme maker, is this an advert?

I understand that this is an academy chain, I wonder if they will tell you the salaries of the executive board? Over inflated I expect and yes I work in school finance so I do know something about it.

I’ve seen the numerous press reports and the trailer.....but yes you’re right I don’t know no more than that. I am a teacher though so if it’s anything like the school I work in then I know what I expect to see. So not an advert and no I’m not the programme maker.

Will this show the parents who fight in the playground, or who queue up to see the teacher with grievances?

I used to live in Hammond's constituency. Very very Tory area...

Head of LEA at a public meeting told the parents of the school and local borough council "families don't live in flats"... these people are so out of touch it's literally jaw dropping.

Not sure who they thought lived in the blocks of maisonettes and flats surrounding the school where the public meeting was being held...

Tried to shut schools, rushing it through before the law changed and an independent adjudicator had to review the proposal.

They can afford private education in heir families so they literally do not care about the rest.
