I really hate my body shape.

I hate hate hate my body shape. I have massive boobs but they're not balanced by my lack of hips.

Am I being unreasonable to yearn for the time when smaller arses were 'in fashion'? I blame the sodding Kardasians for this current need for a massive butt.

Same

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 16:57

I'm doing a squat challenge to try and get some butt.

Glad that when I was a teenager my body type was more in fashion. I'd be fucked now

OP posts:
Tomatoesrock · 06/11/2018 16:59

They may be fashionable but I like my small butt. I have never been on trend with the latest fashion.

Shirleyphallus · 06/11/2018 16:59

I have the flattest butt known to man and my cry to my personal trainer was to give me a more rounded behind

It isn’t just squats OP. You need about 8 other exercises to make any difference

It’s a very particular shape that english women’s arses take

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:01

Tell me the 8 other exercises please!

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:01

Oh and maybe if I lost some weight around my middle, I'd look less like a tube

saltandvinegarcrisps1 · 06/11/2018 17:04

I've had a Kardashian style butt for years and always dress to cover it....I never tuck anything in or wear tops that sit at or above my waist. I hate the way my arse sticks out and just don't get the current trend. All the males I know would love a slim woman with big boobs - but they are all.post 40 years of age.

MoistCantaloupe · 06/11/2018 17:04

You hate your body shape because it's not 'in fashion' right now, but was when you were younger? That is quite sad OP.

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:05

I would love a defined waist

OP posts:
Shirleyphallus · 06/11/2018 17:05

You need heavy weights. Deadlifts, split squats, donkey kicks, thrusters, kickbacks, glute bridges.

Mix of heavy weights low reps and lighter weights high reps cos of the fast / slow twitch fibres or something.

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:06

@MoistCantaloupe I mean in the way that it's everywhere I look, which makes me feel bad. I'd prefer there to be no fashion at all / no worries about how I look, but that's not the world we live in. If you're like that, more power to you

OP posts:
MoistCantaloupe · 06/11/2018 17:08

@ownitfixit Yeah, I feel sad that it makes you feel bad! Your body worked for you when you were a teenager, must work for you now. Obviously nothing wrong with improving your body and working on elements you'd like to change, but everyone is a work in progress. No need to feel bad about yourself in the meantime

OneStepSideways · 06/11/2018 17:08

At least you don't have the issue of trying to find trousers to fit a big wobbly bottom, or bikini briefs that don't flash half your cheeks! Or have to pad your bra to balance out your figure. At least big boobs can be supported with bras, sadly there's no bottom-bra available yet!

MoistCantaloupe · 06/11/2018 17:09

I bet you look great

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:11

Also my arms make me cringe. I got some horrible comments about 10 years ago and haven't worn strapless things since.

'I mean in the way that it's everywhere I look'

Look somewhere else. Seriously. I was lucky to have a formative year in Canada when I was 22. I didn't watch tele, rarely went to cinema (and there were no ads), didn't read fashion mags, and basically had very little exposure to images of how women are 'meant' to luck. I stopped being influenced by those images. It made me realise you can actually choose to ignore that stuff, and learn to view you body in a different way (as something which helps you to live your life). Or just not think about it at all.

You really can change how you view your body if you really want to. It doesn't have to be something expend vast energy beating yourself up over.

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:14

I bought some 'shapewear' the other day and did help with confidence. Not sure it made me look different but my dress hung nicely over it 👌🏻

OP posts:
mimibunz · 06/11/2018 17:15

I have a flat arse too along with the big boobs. I think they will come back in style! Clothes certainly hang better!

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:15

Maybe I hate my body because I gave birth 9 months ago after gaining a shed load of weight during pregnancy because I'm a greedy fucker and saw it as an excuse. Terrible. I must must must lose the last stone. But I can't control my terrible eating of beige carbs.

OP posts:
madeyemoodysmum · 06/11/2018 17:16

I'm the same. I look a stone bigger because of my norks but I only have 36 inch hips. It's shit.

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:16

@madeyemoodysmum I feel you. The stupid boobs and my arms are the WORST

OP posts:
Creepyexgirlfriend · 06/11/2018 17:17

I really don't fancy a Kardashian bum, I'd like to be willowy.

ownitfixit · 06/11/2018 17:18

I prefer to be willowy but pear shaped or hourglass so my waist looked nice

OP posts:
madeyemoodysmum · 06/11/2018 17:19

Only people that have the same will understand the Iain of big boobs.

I get so peeved when people say I'm lucky.

Can't get a dress to fit. Swimwear forget it or spend ££££££
Bankers dont do up or you need a saftey pin.

pictish · 06/11/2018 17:22

I hate mine too. I have a long back and torso, short stumpy arms and legs, thick thighs, no neck to speak of and lacklustre rubbish tits. I am rather graceless overall.
I try not to think about it too much because there’s absolutely nothing I can do about it. I am what I am.
