Whatsnewwithyou · 06/11/2018 20:14

Exploding Kittens!
I liked Pandemic but DH complained it made me boss him around too much 🙄

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 06/11/2018 20:16

Does Pictionary count? I'm so good at that.

Someone wanted a geography game. I love geography games! Who Knows Where is good. Also Mapominoes, there are packs for each continent I think. And the London Game is a race around the London Underground. I have Where is Moldova but never got around to playing it.

Jezzifishie · 06/11/2018 20:27

Ascension, Formula D and Talisman Grin

boldlygoingsomewhere · 06/11/2018 20:28

Lots of favourites already mentioned:
Camel Up
Tikal
Ticket to Ride
Mysterium
Dixit

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 06/11/2018 20:29

Santa v's Jesus.

Catpyjama · 06/11/2018 20:34

I had a really good game of Mysterium with friends but then tried it on my parents and they could NOT handle that level of abstraction. Might be worth a look for some of you though.

Grrrrrrt · 06/11/2018 20:35

More votes for Ticket to Ride and Carcassone

Also;
Survival: Escape from Atlantis
Forbidden Island
Dixit

chemenger · 06/11/2018 20:37

Where is Moldova is good and has rules to make it playable with children and adults.

Eliza9917 · 06/11/2018 20:38

Cluedo

ScribblyGum · 06/11/2018 21:23

@MrsStrowman and @Moreisnnogedag we cant bring ourselves to tear up the cards. Dh just puts them “away” in a special box which they can never come out of again Grin

We just played all the months from March to December over half term and by December I thought I was going to have a child it was so tense. I love how the board and characters change over each month of play and how the mystery behind what is actually going on slowly is revealed. Love how the story lines from Legacy 1 and Legacy 2 are connected too. Dh and I had a total Shock OMG moment at around October's game. Can’t wait for Legacy 3.

ScribblyGum · 06/11/2018 21:29

@Terraforming Mars is really good. I prefer games where no one has to be destroyed for someone else to win and this suits me down to the ground. It’s really clever and immersive too. Has made me want to get it out and play it this weekend.

Best quick games for the pub in our family our Coup and Skull. Coup is just downright evil two faced lying and bluffing which dd2 excels at. Skull is so beautiful to play, the thick beer mat cards are so beautiful and the game is so simple and engaging but super competitive. Makes me laugh a lot.

ScribblyGum · 06/11/2018 21:30

Sorry that was to @ChairinSage re Terraforming Mars

BikeRunSki · 06/11/2018 21:34

Magic Labrinth
