Cost of live band

Icantfindausername · 06/11/2018 08:11

Sorry I didn't know where to post this but does anyone know a realistic cost of a live band for a birthday evening party?

I've been quoted £400 is this about right or way off?

Thanks

I used to run a venue that had live bands every weekend. That sounds about right to me (depending on how long you have them for etc) but for an evening booking that's a pretty standard figure.

Doesn't sound outrageous to me, if you factor in number of members of band (4?) and then travel expenses etc.

It will vary massively depending on the area and band.

I am north west and the people who I know who sort live musics for pubs tend to budget 200-300 per band (for a 3 hour set normally)

Sounds reasonable. It’s not just paying the members it’s factoring the cost of transport there the upkeep of equipment etc

Seems about right, my DP is in a band with 4 others and they tend to get £250-£400 depending on venue/how far from home. That's £80 max each for sometimes over 6 hours work. If it's an hour to the venue that means leaving home at 6pm and returning at anything as late as 2am.
