I used to keep them in a box under the bed todether with erotic books. Teenage dd is very nosey and always in my things. I don’t want her to find this.

I could not find a cash box type thing that would fit my hitachi wand.

There is one I’ve seen that hangs in a wardrobe but dd is in my clothes ( I should be flattered I guess).

I can’t afford to change the door of the bedroom to one that locks on the outside.

Yes, dd 14 should stop snooping but she does not listen.

If she looks in that box maybe she'll stop.rummaging through your stuff!

Ann Summers do lockable bags, maybe have a look for a couple of those?

Anything with a lock would do the trick.

I think if your 14 year old found a locked bag in your bedroom, revealing it's contents would become her new mission in life!

Suitcase with a lock on it? Easy enough. And she probably wouldn’t look in it anyway?

ChocolateTearDrops · 05/11/2018 12:12

Lock on the bedroom door? Start rummaging through her room and when she protests (she will!) point out that's what she's doing to you?

Op what about this, it has a lock, looks roomy enough to fit your stuff in and looks inconspicuous to not arouse any attention to it..

Op for every time she snoops in your stuff, snoop in hers, she will soon stop if she wants any semblance of privacy and she will realise how much of an invasion of privacy her snooping is if she experiences it backGrin

In my drawer and also in a box on top of my wardrobe.

I found my mum's sex toys at about 13. I just laughed.

She's 14. Let her find them if she wants.

MachineBee · 05/11/2018 12:46

Put them in the loft. Or behind bedding if you have an airing cupboard.

Hide in plain sight, so place in an item that they are used to seeing such as a suitcase, box of old photos.

Failing that, simply wrap them now and tell her she’ll spoil her surprise if she goes rummaging. If you find them tampered with leave it for her to account for on Xmas day.

Mine are in the bottom drawer of my bedside table, hidden by a load of PJs.

I found my Mum's vibrator when I was a teenager. I was equal parts horrified and amused, but I learnt not to look in that drawer again!!

Yep, I was a nosey cow as a teen til I found my parents toys and Polaroid's. Taught me an amazing lesson 😂😂

If she’s that much of a snooper she’s already found them. Let her have the shock she deserves. Or start giving her serious sanctions for snooping

Machinebee, I think you may be reading a different thread to the rest of us.

@MachineBee you are aware that it's the OP's sex toys she's referring to, not presents from Santa? Grin

oh @MachineBee I think you've misunderstood what kind of toy!

Actually that's a good idea. Wrap them, label them with a fictional colleague's name* and she probably won't snoop.

*or use a real relative's name for potential farcical hilarity.

I agree with PP if she were to find that lot she would stop snooping. If not your actually stuff can you get something equally embarrassing for her to find.
