AIBU?
To think that poetry has no place in adverts?
ShirleyPhallus · 04/11/2018 15:49
After those fucking irritating Nationwide adverts has anyone seen the Giffgaff ads?
It couldn’t make me want to go with them less tbh. Hideous.
Oliversmumsarmy · 04/11/2018 16:01
I hate those sodding Nationwide adverts.
I haven’t a clue what that Big says Small does rhetoric has anything to do with a Bank.
RhythmStix · 04/11/2018 16:02
Poetry is lovely. The name ShirleyPhallus is ugly and coarse. Cheers x
Aintnothingbutaheartache · 04/11/2018 16:03
I’d say there were many worse things on tv than a bit of poetry in an ad!😬
LEMtheoriginal · 04/11/2018 16:04
I love your name shirley!!
I HATE those ads with every ounce of my being - its the whole moral highground bullshit that bois my piss.
dangermouseisace · 04/11/2018 16:30
God yes. I hate those adverts. I have to turn the volume down because they get on my nerves so much. It’s like they are trying to be earnest but it comes across as cynical. I dislike the Halifax adverts even more though.
NorthenderNamechanger · 04/11/2018 16:34
Personal attacks on posters are ugly and coarse.
Nationwide ads are hideously irritating though. I turn over.
ShirleyPhallus · 04/11/2018 16:35
The name ShirleyPhallus is ugly and coarse.
You wash your mouth out
TSSDNCOP · 04/11/2018 16:36
I think the fact it isn’t good poetry is the issue. The two men who’s mothers met at ante-natal. Just who cares????!
Whipsmart · 04/11/2018 16:38
I find spoken poetry to be cringeworthy at the best of times (I know IABU, I can't help it) so shoving it into an advert is beyond the pale
ShirleyPhallus · 04/11/2018 16:40
I love your name shirley!!
Thanks for the fangirling Lem, right back atcha
LittleMe03 · 04/11/2018 16:41
@RhythmStix what is wrong with you? 😳
Yes OP they can be very irritating but I guess memorable 😂
Athena51 · 04/11/2018 16:56
I love good poetry but these are awful. I have to mute the telly YADNBU
RhythmStix · 04/11/2018 17:18
It aint a personal attack. It's a critique of a pseudonym. Doh.
