About Sunday lunch timing

So got my DCs and DHs DDs for the weekend. Asked him this morning when shall I cook the roast beef? Lunch or dinner? His DDs have to phone their mum to find out what time to be home...just after 3. OK, so I'll do lunch for about 2? And I'm doing a dessert today as a treat (I never cook dessert) so I go out to buy enough veg he takes his DDs and my youngest out. Gets back and brings in an enormous cake "but I said I was making dessert" oh right. He asks if we should all go on a 3 mile walk in the rain to the pub. "No, lunch will be in about 40 minutes" so it turns out he had a late breakfast and bought the 2 DCs a massive ice cream while they were out.

I don't even know what my AIBU is, I'm just bloody furious. He always shows such a massive lack of communication. I'm carrying on with lunch anyway and he can reheat his later and have soggy Yorkshire puddings. I shall enjoy mine and my sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Just wish I'd bought more wine 😡

And yes he could cook lunch himself but none of the DCs will eat his food as he always adds weird shit to his cooking, I am less is more, he is more is more. He's taken the dogs to the pub thank god.
