This week at work I have heard “Lickle”, “Hospickle” and “Punkin” used instead of little, hospital and Pumpkin, and it really confuses me. So wibu to ask if there are any words like this that really get to you?

They sound similar, but axe can sound more like 'ex', depending on exactly where within the area they are from.

I know people who say leggins instead of leggings - but they don’t drop the ‘g’ in any other ‘ing’ word. Just leggings. Odd.

tam I thought that it was leggins until I was about 15 - my logic being that any word ending in an “ing” has to be a doing/being word, and leggings were not doing or being

OP, but did you never see it written down? Online shopping or in a magazine? I know my friend has because she’ll mention buying some online, but she still does this! It’s baffling,
