To hate the term "fanny admin"

SamanthaBrique · 02/11/2018 22:16

A colleague posts this on social media every time she goes for a wax - "enjoying some me-time post #fannyadmin", "feeling relaxed after some much-needed #fannyadmin".

AIBU to think a) TMI and b) call a wax a wax??

Urgh. Never heard that and why does she need to tell people about having her bits waxed?!

abbsisspartacus · 02/11/2018 22:18

WTF? NEVER HEARD OF FANNY ADMIN?

Sohardtochooseausername · 02/11/2018 22:18

People are weird aren’t they?

abbsisspartacus · 02/11/2018 22:18

Shite sorry caps lock fail Blush

TheDuchessOfSex · 02/11/2018 22:19

Why would you tell everyone you know FFS?

AnotherRoadsideAttraction · 02/11/2018 22:19

Ewwww. That's grim. And regardless of terminology, why the fuck would she post about that on FB?!? Gross.

Fairylea · 02/11/2018 22:19

Mother of daughters (instamum blogger) posts about her “fanny admin” and that’s the first time I’d heard it. Made me Grin and cringe at the same time!

Can’t say I’d ever want to announce it to people.

ScreamingValenta · 02/11/2018 22:19

Never heard of this phrase, and can't imagine why the knowledge she'd had her fanjo waxed would be of interest to anyone except her partner.

Pringlemunchers · 02/11/2018 22:20

#fannymin .

Fatasfook · 02/11/2018 22:20

She’s vile

DramaAlpaca · 02/11/2018 22:20

Some people have no boundaries.

SamanthaBrique · 02/11/2018 22:20

@abbsisspartacus it's ok, I think the caps are justified on this case!

Colleague wants to build up a social media presence and be an "influencer", hence posting about every single thing. But I think this is a step too far!

Hassled · 02/11/2018 22:20

People are indeed seriously fucking weird. I have enough shite to administrate without adding that to the list.

Snitzelvoncrumb · 02/11/2018 22:21

I think that's why the unfollow button was made.

Athena51 · 02/11/2018 22:21

I've never heard that expression and it is very much TMI. I'm friends with lots of my colleagues but I wouldn't dream of discussing my waxing habits with them.

Social media really does bring out the worst in some people...

TittyFahLaEtcetera · 02/11/2018 22:21

EnvyEnvyEnvy

ShesABelter · 02/11/2018 22:22

Why the fuck would she want to disclose that on fb of think anyone gives a shit about her fanny waxing. And yes it's a ridiculous term. She sounds like an attention seeking pain in the arse.

SamanthaBrique · 02/11/2018 22:22

@Fairylea I think she wants to be similarly successful so that's where she's probably got the term from.

OP posts:
edwinbear · 02/11/2018 22:23

I’d read ‘fannyadmin’ as having a wank personally.

MsNowtyBach · 02/11/2018 22:24

I'd be equally Confused at a bloke sharing about a sac, back and crack wax.

Personal grooming needs to be rebranded as private greening so that the oversharers understand that it's supposed to be kept private.

I personally like the French approach of denying any effort at all (while doing father a lot).

BigApple11 · 02/11/2018 22:24

#fadmin

edwinbear · 02/11/2018 22:24

And who the fuck feels relaxed after a stranger has covered your ladybits with wax and ripped the hair off at the roots? Hmm

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/11/2018 22:25

Well I hadn’t heard of that.
Then I assumed it was masturbation.
Then you told me it was a wax.
I feel like I’ve learned something new that I did not need to.

SamanthaBrique · 02/11/2018 22:25

It's Instagram not FB, but she uses her full name on there rather than a social media nom de plume.

Barbie222 · 02/11/2018 22:26

Ughhh. It could at least have autocorrected to "farty admin", or something.
