DS has just started a new primary, first week. Generally gone ok but he said today that one of the girls in his class punched him in the stomach because he was trying to play with 'her friend'

I don't what to be the parent jumping up at every push and shove but it's his first week and not how I wanted things to go. Aibu to say something Monday or give it more time?
