To ask for Christmas and Halloween not to buy so much fake spiderwebs

I know its an excuse for fun and decorations but I HATE fake spiderwebs/snow made out of that fluffy plastic stuff. It can't be reused, I doubt you can recycle it - all it does is go straight into landfill and the ocean.

If you are going to buy Halloween tat please buy something re-usable. Plus I have to clean up the mess...

We have fake spiderwebs and they get re-used every year... It's not hard to put them back?

I have both the fake spider webs and the snow that is fluffy like cotton wool, and they get reused every year.

Not sure why you say you're cleaning up the mess, unless you're buying it as well? Confused

I have fake spiderwebs that are at least ten years old. They get thrown up into the attic after Halloween and are perfectly fine for the next year

I have real ones all year round.Grin

I have fake webs I use every year. I bought my mum some and I know she has carefully folded it up and will use it year after year. There is a lot of other ways people use plastic which is a lot more damaging and worrying than fake spider webs.

I have some stupid fake snow from the pound shop that has been hung above my fireplace every years since I brought it 7 years ago. It definitely can be reused if you look after it.

catlovingdoctor · 02/11/2018 09:49

I hate them but only because I’m very frightened of spiders, and seeing things resembling their webs is horrible

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/11/2018 10:29

Most of the webs I saw this year were great thick wodges like banners ......and orange and green

I have cobwebs that are years old and all that's needed is a tiny piece , stretched out as far as it can go like gossamer . Not cotton wool !
