AIBU?
To think this weight loss might be doable (while bfing)?

I’m not overweight, but would like to be about 10lbs lighter... by Christmas, dun, dun, DUN!
Anywho, I’m on holiday next week, so realistically I’m unlikely to lose weight, though don’t plan to gain any either. This leaves me with 6 weeks, I think, to lose 10lbs. Is that likely?
I’m mainly bfing my 9mo, but he also has solid food and the odd ff. So I don’t want to do any short, sharp shock diets.
I’ve joined WW online and am loosely following it for the next week and a half. If I am super on it after that..? 10 lbs in 6 weeks?

Six pounds is more likely and only if you are really strict and don't gain any more on holiday! I'd up your exercise too three or four heavy cardio activities a week

How much do you weigh now and what is your bmi ?
It may not be impossible but might be a bit ambitious. Steady slow weight loss is better as you are more likely to keep it off. I found cutting out evening snacking really helped.

Thanks both.
I’m 11 stone 6lbs and 5’8”.
Think it’s 24.5 bmi, so right at the higher end...
Ugh exercise (lack of) is my downfall. I have many excuses but yes, I should definitely get some ‘proper’ exercise.
WithAFaeryHandInHand · 31/10/2018 12:16
Also snacking is a problem. Again, my excuse is I don’t have time for meals! I often find I genuinely don’t have time for meals till evening though. Eating with dcs, I’m always feeding someone!
WithAFaeryHandInHand · 31/10/2018 12:17
But I need to stop making excuses. I will find time for meals and exercise.

Hi! I'm same bmi like you and just started Cambridge diet 4 days ago. Already lost 2kg. I did that diet before and I was sooo happy because lost 16kg after my pregnancy in 2 months. No I did not put anything back on because I was eating wisely and did exercise. Now Christmas is coming I finally want to meet my 54kg target :) hope that helps.
1sunflower · 31/10/2018 13:19
Also, meals are not a problem and you don't have to waste time making them as everything is given to you and it's so quick to make :)
WithAFaeryHandInHand · 31/10/2018 13:39
Thanks sunflower! Is it ok for bfing do you know?
1sunflower · 31/10/2018 13:47
Oh no I'm afraid. I did the diet when I dropped bfeeding my LO.
WithAFaeryHandInHand · 31/10/2018 13:55
Ah thanks. I’m planning to stop in a few months, so maybe will do it then. Thanks for the tip!
Teacupsandtoast · 31/10/2018 13:55
Since you're slim anyway you're unlikely to lose 10lbs before Christmas on weight watchers. Half a stone is more achievable - good luck!
needsanewname · 31/10/2018 13:58
I joined WW online 5 weeks ago and I'm hoping to gain my stone award on Friday. Obviously I may have a lot more than you to lose but I think 10lb in 6 weeks is completely doable.
I'm actually really enjoying it and although it's not responsible for the majority of my weight loss post partum (had DD in July) its definitely fired it back up!

No worries. Becarefull because u will hear loads of comments from people that know nothing about this diet like "you will put double back on etc." There's a documentary about it so you can get a closer look on it if you want. My big crash diet on BBC. Good luck x
