There was also a Friday Film Special on CBBC that has really stuck with me, about a haunted mine. Scared the crap out of me

Yes!!! It was called Haunters of the Deep and it was terrifying!! We watched it at school as a 'treat' cos it was snowing and only about ten kids had made it in..

Also remember 'Sammys Super T-Shirt' which had everyone in flares, a kid with a huge Afro and a Chopper bike so probs late 70s Grin

theluckiest · 01/11/2018 11:51

Robin of Sherwood was also my fave programme ever. I remember dashing home from wherever we'd been to watch it at Sat teatime...no Skyplus in those days kids!!

(Sigh. How I loved Michael Praed. My first love...and kissed his photo on my wall every night)

An amazing kids gameshow called Knightmare

Me and my partner have quite a large age gap. He loved the show and tried telling me about it but I couldn’t quite grasp what he meant. It started showing again from the beginning and I actually sat and watched every single episode. It was so bad that it’s brilliant lol. At first I was purely laughing at it and was basically confused. But, I actually got into it and was sad when it finished lol.

I really loved Sabrina the teenage witch growing up, Tracy beaker and rugrats were other favourites. Had a Chuckie cake for my birthday one year.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 04/11/2018 14:46

To add, I really liked a show called “are you afraid of the dark” still have some things in the back of my head that resurface and still creep me out. Would like to try watching them again but worry they may be shit and I’ll have ruined my memories lol.

Mouseylu · 04/11/2018 14:59

The children of firetop mountain

Thingsdogetbetter · 04/11/2018 15:01

My Parents are Aliens. I was, however, about 35 when it started. But I watch it religiously every week and it made me laugh and made the world less stressful.

Birdsgottafly · 04/11/2018 15:16

All of them listed from the 70/80's.

I can't believe Rubarb and Custard only got one mention.

Sooty and Basil Brush wasn't mentioned much, either.

The first US style comedy I liked was Mork and Mindy. Then Different Strokes and Soap. Dallas and Dynasty were my first more grown-up shows.

I loved the "How we used to live" programs and Sons and Daughters.

I never missed "the phoenix and the carpet".

Fluffy40 · 04/11/2018 15:19

My parents are aliens was good.

Best laugh I had from the TV in about a decade was the episodes were the alien dad (Brian?) wanted to join the Brownies.

OatsBeansBarley · 04/11/2018 17:12

..episode where..

DrewBarryless · 04/11/2018 17:34

Does anyone remember The Little Vampire? Or the Littlest ? God I loved that - and the Tbag/T-shirt series . Can’t remember the name of it but I think it had Kellie Bright in it.

CoodleMoodle · 04/11/2018 17:35

Playdays, then Sooty & Co.

DrewBarryless · 04/11/2018 17:39
