Box of Delights was wonderful. I have it on DVD and my DC like watching it at Christmas.

I like Dark Towers, too, and the Iron Man.

MrsStrowman · 31/10/2018 13:38

Definitely art attack too, until in adulthood DM told me that the reason there were so many shots of just hands doing things, was because Neil Buchanan didn't do the art!!! Childhood dreams shattered.

PawneeParksDept · 31/10/2018 13:39

Knightmare

5foot5 · 31/10/2018 13:43

Double Deckers (that's showing my age)

Blue Peter (loved the makes but only ever attempted about two. Not much sticky backed plastic where I came from)

Crackerjack (would have loved to have a go in the weekly contest where two lucky children got to play for what looked like the entire toy and game section from my Mum's catalogue)

Willow2017 · 31/10/2018 14:08

Later on, Kizzy
How could i forget that? I named my kitten Kizzy😀😀

CoolCarrie · 31/10/2018 14:10

Bagpuss, Ivor the Engine, Trumpton, Camberwick Green, but my favourite is Mary, Mungo and Midge!

Satsumaeater · 31/10/2018 14:38

@DontCallMeCharlotte

The Demon Headmaster and the Queens Nose are well regarded UK CBBC productions from the 90s

The others I suspect are Nickolodeon titles. Some friends had Sky but most not.

CrazySheepLady · 31/10/2018 14:46

The Flumps.
Jamie & The Magic Torch.

Alfie190 · 31/10/2018 14:54

Grange Hill out of children's programs.

But my favourite program when I was a child was Starsky & Hutch. I also liked the 6 million dollar man.

clowdyweewee · 31/10/2018 15:03

The Book Tower
Grange Hill
Dramarama

Stringofpearls · 31/10/2018 15:37

Definitely Captain Planet, I wanted to have the ring with the power of water. I doubt this would be allowed now though as I realised years later it was a Greenpeace political thing!

Spudina · 31/10/2018 16:23

Wow I'd forgotten so many! Also loved the Cities of Gold, Dogtanian, the Box of Delights, Moondial, The Racoons, Dramarama. Some of the theme tunes were amazing. (Goes off singing "one for all and all for one, muskahounds are always ready")

mathanxiety · 31/10/2018 19:26

Couldn't remember the name of this one, but to The Clangers I want to add VisionOn.

I also loved the Pink Panther, and Screen Test.

Though not a children's programme I loved Call My Bluff with Fwank Muir and other very funny people.

SukiPutTheEarlGreyOn · 31/10/2018 19:42

Seconding a lot that have already been mentioned: Pogles wood, Lost in space, Double deckers and Tomorrow people.

Others that I loved included Follyfoot farm, Joe 90, Tales of the riverbank, Catweazle, Topcat and How.

MacGyver

SilverySurfer · 31/10/2018 20:13

Back in the early 1950s there wasn't much choice - one channel, 9 inch black and white tv but my favourite was Muffin the Mule: - tv doesn't get much more exciting than that Grin When ITV started in the mid 50s I became a fan of Popeye.

Jezzifishie · 31/10/2018 20:15

Robot Wars. I was obsessed - spent hours 'designing' my robot, completed the sticker books, bought the magazine. I was devastated when it was cancelled (both times!!)

StandardPoodle · 31/10/2018 20:19

Thunderbirds, Stingray, Fireball XL5 (that robot terrified me!), White Horses, Follyfoot, Black Beauty, Mr. Ed (bit of a horse theme going on here).
