Two. More. Days. Well, actually I guess three as the final nationwide results won't be certified until Wednesday morning.
DH has said he's going to bed early as he doesn't think he can stand seeing the ups and downs of the results when they start coming in. I, on the other hand, will be up late watching.
Here's some general info re broadcasting results:
For those of you outside the US who are interested in monitoring the elections in specific races via the internet, the three major networks are ABC, CBS, and NBC. Pick a major city in a state (better if you can get close to the locale) and google the network, TV, and the city. This should drill you down to local results as opposed to CNN or MSNBC who will be covering all the races. Remember that Senators are elected by the whole state. House of Representatives are by Congressional district within a state so choosing a city closer to the district will get 'better' results.
For example, "ABC TV New York City" will get you to WABC, the NYC affiliate. They will have quicker results for New York City and state elections and will cover them more closely. If you are interested in, say, NY state's 26 congressional district, you'd want to google "ABC TV Buffalo NY".
Remember also, that results are not broadcast until the polls close locally. So results for an East Coast race will start being announced 3 hours before results for a California election start rolling in. Also, closing times can vary from state to state.
