to think jobsite search algorithms are a little 'out' to say the least, perhaps not quite as 'tailored' to the individual as they make out.....

I put in quite clear details about the work I am looking for, mental health support type roles, part time, and the area I'm in (south west England). I ticked all their little boxes and answered all their questions re qualifications etc.

Why then do they think I might be interested in applying for Head of a Radiography department in the midlands? laboratory research assistant in Surrey? Consultant Urologist in the North West?!?! I mean, by all means aim high but I'm not sure my cert HE in health and social care is quite what they're looking for.......

sigh..... another lot of emails to unsubscribe from then.....

It's the geography mismatch that baffles me.

Happens to me, too. It's not even 10 miles out - I look for jobs in Devon and something in Australia pops up.

Id love to know if there are any good sites- dp needs something new before I murder him for his inaction

I wonder if it's ever worked:
" Love, I know I was looking for band 5 nursing jobs in and around the Salisbury area but there's work going here on a deep sea fishing trawler in the mid-Atlantic, I think I'll send them my CV!"
