To ask if you know anyone who is a misanthrope?

Do you know anyone who is a genuine misanthrope and hates people? Do you know why they are that way?

Actually not strictly true. I do like some people. But as a species, yeah, I hate man. Collectively, we're arseholes who do lots of really stupid, damaging things for supposedly intelligent beings.

I guess we can all be one or two of what is described below now and then.

Yes, my ex. It's a self-preservation thing. He has social anxiety and so chooses to hate everyone first in case they don't like him. It's very sad.

My FIL. He has decided that EVERYONE hates him and is out to get him.

I think as a species we humans are pretty shitty tbh. But I like some ppl on a personal level.

I always say I am. But maybe I’m not. I don’t hate all people. I love my family. But I feel very misanthropic when I watch videos of people fighting over Black Friday deals, for example.
