To think boyfriend's sister is being funny towards me?

I'm with someone and I've met all of his family. I first met his mum around 8 months ago. His sister still lives at home (she is 18) but had been avoiding me that whole 8 months, if I went to their house, she would be locked in her bedroom. Going out for dinner, she would never come.

Finally met her yesterday, answered my questions (I was trying to make conversation) but never really asked anything back.

She was fine to the rest of the family but just ignored me a bit.

Bit odd, no?

She's shy about the 'new' person coming into the family and changing the dynamics and she is still very young at eighteen.

Don't force anything, let things fall into place naturally which they inevitably do.

Teenage shit, locked in the bedroom ignoring me. Didn't see that coming after you'd written aged 18.

Honestly, I wouldn't waste head space thinking about it. Perhaps she's just rude, maybe she has social anxiety. Whatever the case, her behaviour shouldn't be taken personally.
