To feel used by my friend?

She was having a affair with her close friends husband,he left his wife and they started dating.
She was getting threats from the husbands wife and her friends then after 3 months he dumped her and his wife told her that he told her everything.
My friend was in a bad place and started taking anti depressants,I took a few days off work and went over and made sure she was eating and ok.
3 months later he text her and she went over and slept with him..now they are dating again.
She has basically ignored me since,if I text she's with him and busy.
We have had a night out planned for tonight for months.
Every night out she stays at mine and gets ready here as I live 2 mins from town.
She's told me she is getting ready at his and isn't staying at mine (he lives 45 mins in opposite direction so don't see why she is staying there)
All she does is talk about him and he is nothing more than a using looser.
She swore she wouldn't give him the time of day and now she's back to square one.
So I've just totally wasted my time and energy.
I'm a bit sad she would rather stay with him than me tbh..he's treated her like total crap.

Her life her choices. If she goes on about him too much change the subject. As for the getting ready at your house, I can't be bothered with all that anymore I'd rather get ready where all of my things are and be in my own bed at the end of the night. She's still going out with you. She's obviously preoccupied with this relationship and that's her call, it's probably because she doesn't feel secure in it. Take a big step back, not your circus, not your monkies.

It just seemed ridiculous that she would rather do 1 1/2 hours travel than just stay over like normal.

She made it clear how she treats "close friends". Why are you surprised?

Shockers · 27/10/2018 13:21

She’s probably worried he’ll have a stand in organised, if she doesn’t fill that space in his bed.

pettyboo · 27/10/2018 13:36

I suppose at least I get my bed to myself anyway

She sounds ike a rubbish friend anyway. Not surprisingly you are disappointed. It can taint how you see your friends when this happens.

Do you think she will let you down last minute? I would bd prepared. Or for her to be texting him all night and leave early.

pettyboo · 27/10/2018 14:37

She just said he might be meeting us in town ..which will be zero fun for me.

So basically he will be meeting and this was prearranged for him too. Sorry pettyboo but id consider finding other plans if possible

AtrociousCircumstance · 27/10/2018 14:46

Might be = will definitely. I’d cancel. It will be an annoying waste of time for you.

Leave them to it - sounds like they deserve each other.

Perhaps I'm a little cut throat, but I'm not sure I could remain friends with someone who finds it acceptable to shag a friend's husband. What does that say about them? They have little moral fibre and no loyalty. That's not the kind of person I want as a friend and I think to some extent that we are judged by the company we keep. Get some better friends would be my advice.
