So I'm thinking about opening a very account for Christmas, do very send a letter out confirming the credit agreement? I'm just wondering what to expect 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yep- they send a “welcome to very” letter then monthly statements.

jaseyraex · 27/10/2018 09:40

I have an account and have never had a letter from them. I opted for paperless. They sent me a welcome email with all the details and then I see my monthly statements on the app or website.

I know people who have got into deep water with Very, but I've got an account and make sure I pay well over the minimum each month and I'm fine. I could pay it all off in one month if I had to and didn't do or have other things. My advice is don't go higher than that kind of level.

OhFlipMama · 27/10/2018 09:41

I am paperless but did receive a welcome letter.

BlueCurious · 27/10/2018 09:53

Don't do it!! They are awful! Interest is ridiculous and I've had nothing but trouble with the items I've bought!

bruffin · 27/10/2018 09:56

Ive only used it with interest free offers, hut had no problems

letsdolunch321 · 27/10/2018 09:56

I am very pressed, they keep me informed via email & text - opted for paperless and received welcome letter.

LongWalkShortPlank · 27/10/2018 09:59

I use the take 3 option to spread it over 3 months, interest free, but like a previous poster I could cover most of what I get in full if I had to. I did use it to buy some bedroom furniture for my daughter a few years ago, again on take 3, and was very happy with the quality and service. I think the people who have the bad experiences tend to be the people who get themselves into trouble with the interest and just paying the minimum payments. As long as you keep track you'll be fine.

I love my very account, just make sure you pay "any buy now pay laters" by the due date otherwise the interest gets backdated to when you bought the item and although the very statement will clearly show you your minimum and take 3 payments it hides the bnpl at the bottom.
