AIBU to ask you to give me your best business pitch tips?

I need to prepare a business pitch for an interview. Being a very recent graduate, I’ve never done one before and I have no idea what I’m doing. So AIBU to ask for your pitch tips? I know I could google it, and I have, but I want to hear from real people.

Make the objective of your pitch clear. Keep it simple. Always use language appropriate for the audience. Focus on benefits rather than features. Know your stuff with particular regard to your numbers, target market, swot, r2m, competition, usp/differentiators, marketing strategy (be prepared to be asked questions on those things).

Keep it snappy. Know your pitch inside out and be prepared to for the pitch to be interrogated- anticipate likely questions and prepare robust answers.

Always make sure you close the deal!

Most importantly smile and relax - if the people you’re pitching to “like” you, then that will be a major factor.
