Nothing!! Never had one never will!! Oops tell a lie I got wrangled into signing up for one by some woman on commission in Manchester Airport years ago because she would t leave me alone. As soon as It came through the letter box I chopped it up!! I Hate the bloody things!! My STBXH however has managed to rack up about £20’000 worth of debt on all of his!!

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/10/2018 21:05

A couple of thousand between me and DH but it's an interest free credit card and we pay chunks off each month, and will have finished paying it before the interest free period runs out. I love interest free.

JellyBears · 26/10/2018 21:05

None I never spend more then a weeks wages a month on it. So I can always pay it off.

funinthesun18 · 26/10/2018 21:25

£200

Ollivander84 · 26/10/2018 21:32

A lot. It got to a point I was worrying about them and thought this can't go on
I rang the two card companies and I have to say the woman at barclaycard was absolutely amazing
I'm on a plan which yes will affect my credit rating but it's frozen all interest, and reduced my payments from £480 a month to £90. Obviously I can overpay but it's breathing space

Dowser · 26/10/2018 21:49

Nothing, plus I tend to overpay

MaryJenson · 26/10/2018 21:50

Zero

WidoWanky · 26/10/2018 21:51

My cc is paid in full every month. I put everything on it because i like a detailed spending statement. Cash is easily frittered and i dont have enough spare for that!

Having a cc is not a licence to print money though. And i never spend beyond my means.

universe00 · 26/10/2018 21:53

Around £300 I pay it and use it every month so always in and out of it x

BMW6 · 26/10/2018 21:56

I use the credit card for all online purchases for financial protection, but have it set up so the balance owed is taken by DD every month.
That way zero interest charged and every month I end up owing nothing.

Of course, I have a budget spreadsheet so I know that I have sufficient funds to cover it......

anxiousmotherof1 · 26/10/2018 21:58

God you are all so good ;p

m0therofdragons · 26/10/2018 22:01

£397 on Pink tickets. I'll pay it off before the end of the month.

Annandale · 26/10/2018 22:03

I'm not good. I'm shit with money. I've had a lot of patches of life where I was lying awake in tears about debt. When I was a kid we had the bailiffs at the door a couple of times. I feel I'm only ever two 'fuck it' days from being back in those situations. I visualise a door slamming hard to stop myself spending, it has to be that violent. Doesn't always work.

Debt is slavery. Be out of it as soon as you can.

Girlicorne · 26/10/2018 22:04

Nothing! I d be ok with owing anything under 5k though that wouldn't keep me awake at night!!

gizmomonki · 26/10/2018 22:09

£1,448.

Namechange170518 · 26/10/2018 22:29

£580. Was nearly £1000. Transferred to 0% card at the beginning of the year. Divided the amount owed by the number of months interest free and pay that amount every month. I also have a loan that I have fixed monthly payments on. Any extra money goes on that so I can reduce the term and save on interest. Should be debt free apart from mortgage in 18-20 months.

Sallystyle · 26/10/2018 22:32

9k

Ladi85 · 26/10/2018 22:39

Crunchymum · 26/10/2018 22:39

About £13k

Have had 3 maternity leaves, 2 house moves and I've gone PT during the period we've wracked up the debt plus DP had a period of unemployment

I always make sure we balance transfer so we don't pay interest and we pay way more than the minimum..... but until I am back at work we can't clear the debt.

We have a realistic repayment plan in place for when I go back to work but it's going to take a while to be debt free.

TittyBoneGhoul · 26/10/2018 22:44

Zero. Never had a credit card.

Jagblue · 26/10/2018 23:59

@CookPassBabtridge hi don't sell your flat either get it remortgaged or go to interest only for a while.
Capital appreciation will help you later. Having an asset it's much better.

AtSea1979 · 27/10/2018 00:02

Nothing. Don’t have one. Never had one. All my money is my own. I appreciate I’m lucky to have no debts but i’ve always been good at budgeting and living within my means.
