To want to find an escape room for more than 6 people?

I’d really love to do an escape room with 8 other friends for my birthday and can’t really not invite 3 of them. Any one in London know of escape rooms that can accommodate 9 people in one game?

You can do two rooms in one place.

I’ve never done one with more than 6 people but most places let you book two rooms simultaneously so just do teams of 4 and 5.

istherainnevercomingback I know but I’d ideally like us all in one room, think it’d be more fun

what's an escape room?

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 24/10/2018 12:21

The one in Kentish Town is up to twelve people at once but beat to ring them to clarify if that’s all in one room

Have you done one before? I think it might be quite tricky with 9 people, that’s a lot of people running round doing different things. But I guess if you find one designed for a big group they’ve probably found ways round that!

Yeh I think it would be a case of too many cooks with 9 people.

I agree that with more than six it probably doesn't work as well. The thing is, you need to be able to communicate effectively as with a group of six, often you are all working in smaller sub-groups and need to be able to share info between groups. It's tricky enough with six of you, but, I'd imagine, far more difficult with a larger group. Also, fitting nine of you into smallish rooms would make it difficult to move around freely.
I love them, but six would be my limit.

I've done it with 8 and it didn't work at all. would definitely suggest two teams of 4 in different rooms, see who gets out first

msannabella · 24/10/2018 13:47

We did a large group but it was 2 rooms connected with a window and you raced each other to win. You could see and communicate with the other team still. Would that be a possibility to split up like that.

Mummaluelae · 24/10/2018 13:51

I think the one in Canterbury I'd for 8

MakeLemonade · 24/10/2018 13:53

Have you thought about doing Crystal Maze instead? I think they can accommodate teams of 9.

I used to work at an escape room, more than 6 would be too chaotic for working together. Also the person operating it needs to hear what the people in the room are saying and more than 6 would mean too many people are talking at once.
