To ask can dp get copies of his daughters medical records?

Sorry posting for traffic, reg user just a NC.

Dp is having a lot of issues with his ex and believes she is lying about their dds health. For many reasons, first one mainly being ' the dd never suffers with the issue when with us' and basically his ex has form for lying or dramatising things with their dd.

He's had enough. Can he request his daughters records. If so how does he go about it. And can he request that he is to be notified of any issues? (doubt that's possible as I know GPS are busy etc),

There are two different sorts of medical records, GP records and Hospital records.

If his dd is under 16, he could phone the surgery where his dd is registered and ask for their procedure.

My experience, you do need a reason for requesting them, which you have to put in writing to the surgery and/or hospital. I had to pay £50+
It's been said on here that now under GDPR there should not be a charge, but I've no idea whether that's common practise or not.
