Fertility? (Traffic post)

Hi so basically iv been incredibly reckless and stupid and it's now lead me to question my fertility. Iv had one child so all seemed normal although I don't want another child and I was in the past due to a ED told I couldn't get pregnant before my son,I was on the pill (revigdon sp?) for about 2 years but for an entire year iv been off it iv had irregular periods, sometimes really short cycles others normal and a normal average sex life and nothing's happened this baffles me a little and I'm unsure why I'm so worried considering I'm not looking to have more children, should I see a doctor incase there is an underlying health condition? Or could my pill just have messed things up? Thank you for reading!

So you don't want another child but you're having unprotected sex?

FunSponges · 23/10/2018 23:53

Use contraception if you don't want a baby fgs.

Sparklesocks · 23/10/2018 23:58

It’s really hard to say, you’re most likely better asking professionals.

Bambamber · 24/10/2018 00:01

A year is within the normal range for a person to get pregnant. I wouldn't waste NHS resources questioning your fertility if you don't even want any more kids

Gynaegirl · 24/10/2018 02:37

Yes, you need a referral to a gynaecologist to investigate your irregular periods. Irregular menstruation can indicate an underlying medical problem.

selfidentifyinggiraffe · 24/10/2018 03:02

Yes see a Gp. Not because you haven't had an unwanted pregnancy but because many things can cause the female system to mysfunction.

And get some contraceptive advice too while you're there. Then you won't post stuff like this which will wind up those who do actually suffer the misfortune of infertility

Aquamarine1029 · 24/10/2018 03:44

Why would you have unprotected sex when you don't want another child? This is grossly irresponsible and absurd.

superhansg · 24/10/2018 07:08

Hello, yes I know iv been incredibly silly when it comes to my contraceptives but due to some issues I hadn't been to sort it out these are rather personal and I don't really want to go into them. I'm in no way trying to upset people who are infertile as it was a genuine question I had about myself that did strangely worry me a lot mostly due to if it was a repercussion to previous eating disorder as I still had annorexia when pregnant with my son.
I'll be asking to have this thread removed as I genuinely don't want to upset anyone
