AIBU to think it shouldn’t be that difficult for Next to refund me and deliver my jeans?

I ordered two pairs of jeans from Next, at the till, for next day delivery to store. Got a text the next morning to say that delivery would be delayed and they would text me again when they arrived.

Heard nothing further, so rang Next. Got put through to the store, very helpful man said they had been lost in store. He would refund me. Did I want to re-order? He couldn’t do it for me, as I had ordered at the till, but gave me the reference numbers of the jeans and I duly ordered them.

Fast forward two weeks. Still no refund from the jeans that went missing. And still no jeans. They managed to attempt delivery in the half hour slot when there was no-one at home (not their fault) and said they would attempt delivery in the next two days. That was last week.

So now Next have £180 of my money, I’ve got no jeans and no refund. The call centre say that the jeans are still with the delivery company and they should try again. And no-one seems to have any idea how to refund me for the delivery I ordered in store.

Any ideas?!

Do you have Twitter? If they are taking the piss, take it public. I hate that this works but tbh sometimes it's the only way to get results!

Have you actually been back in store for a refund?

I haven’t been back in store yet, no. I’m currently overseas with work, so Iwill pop in on Saturday if no joy.

Sounds very similar to my experience with John Lewis this week. It's crap.
