I have no idea why you would assume gender critical mners would be anti gay or lesbian. Unless you are of the opinion that people who believe in biology are homophobic? I don't know or care how you define yourself Mamaryllis, but I think it's verrrry interesting that some MNers are happy to align themselves with right-wing Christians on this issue. Just like quite a few MNers were happy to jump on the Jordan Peterson train even though they had a poor understanding of his context, Canadian culture, or his lying about 'compelled speech.' 2S means 2 spirit. It's a phrase for indigenous people to use about themselves and since there are indigenous kids in our public school system of course they would use it.
