How soon can I dye my hair?!

I just dyed my hair using an ombré pack, which I have done many times before with no problems - this time the result is mega blocky and it looks bad. No idea why it's gone wrong this time!

Can I just stick another dye over the top to cover it / lessen the blockiness?! I realise my hair is not going to like it and will need some deep conditioning afterwards.....

Be careful, I’ve had similar and the blockiness can show through the dye.

If you just dye the ombré bit, it’s difficult to match it to the rest of the hair.

If you just dye the whole lot, the underlying colour difference can show through.

I ended up getting the ombré bit foiled with darker low lights to break it up, then overdying the ombré bit, then a semi-permanent over the whole head.

Good luck.

I think so long as it toned the ombré but down, I can live with until I can go to the hair dressers as it will make the "blockiness" less obvious.

Just going to have to go for it - won't be doing ombré again myself - it has always been fine so not sure what happened this time around as I used the same product and same technique!!

I feel your pain. Dyed my hair rose gold the other day and in certain light it is just purple! Blush I don’t have the kind of job where that is acceptable so going to have to put dye over it too!
