Dd is three in a couple of months.
She is 103cm
Her weight is 3st and 2lbs
She doesn’t appear to eat anymore than her peers and she is active. I’ve tried to up her activity levels and have cut out biscuits etc although she has the occasional ice cream when out.
She was big born and has been big ever since. She seems to gain weight very easily and not lose it. I don’t want her to lose so much as maintain but grow.

Is she huge compared to others? She doesn’t look that huge on her own but she is much bigger than others her own age I can see when we are out. She is taller too... dad is 6ft 6 and her brother is also very tall.

My daughter is 3 and also 103cm. She is 2st8 and bang on average for what she should be. Your little girl does sound heavy!

Saying that my two year old ds eats the same diet as her and is 88cm and also 17kg so I think some kids struggle more than others naturally

Magair · 21/10/2018 10:50

@iamclearlyamug my DS is also 120 cm and 3st 2 and is 7 in December and is far from dinky? Pretty much in the middle for height and yes slim but not dinky?

DD is 2yrs 9mo and from about 6 months has always been heavier than she is tall!
Currently she's 94cm/2stone 3lbs (14.2kg).

DD has always been solidly built and no matter how slim won't be waify! Very much has her toddler tum! As your DH is 6'6 your DD probably is destined to be a bit 'bigger', but as others have said you'll probably find there's room to cut way down on portion sizes. It's well worth keeping on this so your DD isn't at a disadvantage starting school etc, and you'll never have more control of it than you do now. We got this advice at the 2 year check and are glad we kept on it.

DS. 3 years 4 months and 2 stone 4 pounds. No idea of height but seems average in his class.

Iamclearlyamug · 21/10/2018 12:32

@magair they must just be built differently. My DD is still wearing age 4 school skirts because anything bigger falls down, she's on the 19th percentile for her age so I'm not concerned but she definitely is dinky 🙈🙈

AlphaBravo · 21/10/2018 13:00

OP my little boy is almost 17m old and is in some 3-4 clothes. He's 99th percentile for everything and the men in my side of the family are all 6ft4-6ft6 so I feel your pain. (If he wasn't pretty much bald still everyone would think he was just very delayed 😳😬)

As long as she's tracking her own growth curves I really wouldn't worry. Some girls are tall and well built!

Just turned 3, just under 2st.

She’s not tiny centiles-wise, but also not a large child.

Oysterbabe · 21/10/2018 19:56

2 and 10 months
2st 2lbs
97cm
