Instagram is new to me. What pops up is kittens, puppies, babies and pregnant women. Presumably based on pictures I've chosen to look at.

But what keeps popping up is this obvious trend of heavily pregnant women usually with leggings and a boob tube on, dancing enthusiastically.

Why? It's beyond cringey. It's it a trend? Is there a reason for it? I don't understand it.
they look stupid.
Am I just too old, fat and miserable to 'get' what the cool kids are doing?

Remember Instagram is a Facebook company, and they cross-pollinate when deciding what to show you, plus all the advertising tracking on every website blah blah.

I'm on Instagram for a few friends, a few authors, and a few science things - I never get kittens, puppies, babies or pregnant women (unless pics taken by friends).

It's me that's caused the pictures.

I was just wondering specifically about this weird half naked pregnancy dancing thing that's going on.

At least she has a top on.
She looks fucking ridiculous though.
But I just don't understand the point...

No idea but that's funny

Not seen that before, but looks fun Grin
Good on her, can't beat a bit of dancing lol

Bobbiepin · 19/10/2018 16:06

There was a woman dancing through labour and a song about a woman being pregnant. So what? Seriously better things to be bothered about.

GhoulTheFckToSpook · 19/10/2018 16:13

Yes i’m With you OP. Not the kind of video I want to watch, pregnant woman or not... but I do like videos of puppies Grin

Sciurus83 · 19/10/2018 16:15

Why does this bother you so much?! It bothers me because I'm 36 weeks with backache and I wish I could do that! But otherwise good for them, not sure I'd be putting it on IG but I have seen many worse things

WorraLiberty · 19/10/2018 16:15

I think it's very funny Grin

RedDrink · 19/10/2018 16:16

OMFG I wish I hadn't clicked on that link. 😐

ItStartedWithAKiss241 · 19/10/2018 16:17

Was it started by the Whip Whip Nae Nae dance with the little girl and her pregnant mum? X

VerbeenaBeeks · 19/10/2018 16:23

I'd have a go, stick it on my Insta. Totally not preggers but got the stomach for it.
Nobody wants to see that though Grin

RememberWhenRibenaTastedNice · 19/10/2018 16:24

I've no idea why it bothers me? I've asked myself that question a few times!

Sammymommy · 19/10/2018 16:33

That's quite nasty to mock her. She seems like she has fun. The others too. Maybe Instagram is not for you...

WhiteCoyote · 19/10/2018 16:35

I think she’s brilliant! all I did the day before I went into labour was sit miserably and complain about how I just wanted the damn thing out. Good on her! Wish I’d have seen it then.

Classic case of if you don’t like it don’t look, like I do with the millions of things I see on the internet that bore me.

RememberWhenRibenaTastedNice · 19/10/2018 17:06

Indeed. Perhaps Instagram is not for me. It's painful viewing. I only joined to keep an eye on my son who has an account.

Also I can't not look.

The divvy dancing videos is amongst all the puppies and kittens. I don't get a choice.

TinselKitten · 19/10/2018 17:09

Is it maybe to a trying to induce labour thing? Or the Insta version of the Vanity Fair/Demi Moore cover (I.e. pregnant is beautiful).

VerbeenaBeeks · 19/10/2018 17:31

I was thinking too that maybe it's a to bring on labour thing?
Looks way more fun than sprawling over a birthing ball anyway Grin

GummyGoddess · 19/10/2018 20:57

It must be a fake belly, nobody has that much energy at 9 months pregnant! Or I'm just horrendously unlucky and very lazy...
