AIBU?
AIBU to think they need more staff available?

DH booked a spa break in a resort that is primarily a spa resort for my birthday in 5 weeks time but he told me early so I could book some treatments. Rang the spa today and was told that there was only one slot available for a 30 minute treatment. AIBU to think that 5 weeks should be sufficient time to book a treatment? The treatment I requested was an hour long treatment. I was told to keep ringing to see if they got a cancellation and if not sure I could enjoy the other facilities the spa has to offer. I'm heavily pregnant so this was a last getaway so I would be limited to the other spa facilities like the sauna and steam room and as for the long country walks that surround the hotel this could be a little struggle at 38 weeks pregnant.

Presumably all the treatment rooms are full. Are staff supposed to do treatments in the corridors?

I would get DH to cancel and ask for a refund (and rebook somewhere else). Who the hell wants to stay in a spa where you can't book any treatments?
Bonkers. Totally agree, with 5 weeks to go there should be plenty of appointments available.

Can you use sauna and steam room pregnant? I thought you couldn’t (or hot tubs) - I’d be looking to re-arrange dates.

I agree, I'd be annoyed too. But it's only really because of your circumstances (pregnancy) that you can't make the most of the rest of it - they can hardly cancel another woman's treatment because you can't use the sauna and steam room. I'd be making a nuisance of myself and calling every few days and maybe they'll get some agency staff in or something if they have the room.
It's annoying but it's just one of those things I guess. Perhaps you could suggest to them that if they can't provide some more treatment options you would like to see their cancellation policy and you could try and find another place that can fit you in.
Congrats on your pregnancy

It is probably down to lack of treatment rooms rather than staff to be fair.
