It's. So. Good.

There's a whacking great bar of creamy milk Choceur chocolate for about £1.40. Melt in the mouth and reminds me of what chocolate used to be like.

Any other fans?

Can't believe no-one has mentioned the rum raisin and nut yet - it's THE BEST!!

NearlySchoolTimeAgain · 17/10/2018 18:36

We don’t have Aldi here. Is Lidl as good?

mozartvanbeethoven · 17/10/2018 20:14

I'm a fan. The Choceur Milk Almond especially. Mmmmmmm.....

Lollypop27 · 17/10/2018 20:15

The moser Roth mint chocolate is the bomb

BlueBug45 · 17/10/2018 20:16

Please op don't start threads like this. Angry

I hate when Aldi and Lidl things sell out due to someone online saying how great something they sell is.

mozartvanbeethoven · 17/10/2018 20:16

@Nearly I do not think I have ever tried Lidl's own brand, because whenever I go to Lidl, I always become distracted by the Ritter Sport chocolate bars they have. Yum.

TheSpottedZebra · 17/10/2018 20:17

Agree the Moser Roth stuff is lovely.

And for those days when you want to secretly oink a load of more, er, base chocolate, may i recommend the bag of peanut butter filled rolo things? THE BEST (but does have palm oil alas)

Not for chocolate unfortunately. lidl's bakery is better though.

SodTheBloodyLotOfThem · 17/10/2018 20:29

Oh ffs now I need to stop in the hellishly busy Aldi I pass on the way back from DD's gymnastics lesson on Monday Angry curses to all of you.

thisneverendingsummer · 17/10/2018 20:31

Yeah Aldi (and Lidl) chocolate is very decent.

Sadly, much better than the leading brands now.

Much of Cadbury's taste like cack now.

Ditto Mars stuff - like Snickers, Mars, and Milky Way.

Sadly, also kit-kats and rolos and toffee crisps have gone to shit now too.

Not much left to enjoy now.

I dreaded this day. Sad

Poodles1980 · 17/10/2018 20:31

The Roisins mint choc crunch is the business but I have been known to polish off a bar of their bog standard milk chocolate in the blue pack. The more horrifying thing I have discovered is their frozen pain au Chocolate. Lethal stuff altogether

RedLife · 18/10/2018 21:16

Have you also tried their chocolate pots from the chiller section? Gorgeous!

The double chocolate chilled dessert is lovely.

GhouldaLovesLillies · 18/10/2018 21:17

I would walk over hot coals to get at a bar of their cherry chilli chocolate.

bluebump · 18/10/2018 21:20

I love that big bar which has almonds in it. I’ve had to stop buying it because I eat it in an embarrassingly short space of time. I went to Aldi today and looked longingly at it as I walked past Grin

tor8181 · 18/10/2018 21:28

their version or aero orange is the best

user1466783975 · 18/10/2018 21:29

I'm tucking into my aldi 'mini delights' as I write this. I buy them and hide them from the kids, they are the best. Ive got the hazelnut crisp ones but never tried the other two flavours. Bliss

Budgieinaberet · 18/10/2018 21:29

Pretzel I've not seen that yet Shock
Love chilli, and the sea salt.

Maccycheesefries · 18/10/2018 21:40

I'll be visiting my mum next week and there's an aldi within walking distance. Guess where I'll be every day?!! I can't wait. I'm a saddo with no social life

pandarific · 18/10/2018 21:42

Another vote for the rum and raisin. It is a thing of beauty.

I also bought myself a two layer box of their Belgian chocolates in the gold wrapper and they were very nice!

Hunlife · 18/10/2018 21:43

I hear you OP! It’s the only chocolate I’ll buy now.

WrongKindOfFace · 18/10/2018 21:45

I love Aldi chocolate. It is dangerously moreish. Lidl isn’t bad, but they also sell the big bars of Ritter which I love, especially the cornflake one.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 18/10/2018 21:45

Love the chocolate in there. I like Choceur, their version of mint and orange Aero, the caramel Choceur is to die for. And I also really like the Turkish delight one and the dark chocolate and mint creme.
