West bay. Had a very wet day there last year, bit disappointing and IMO not as nice as it looks on tv.

We (accidentally) went to west bay this summer and loved it, lovely walk along the cliffs, then came back and had a great lunch at the pizza place on the beach. Really fantastic playground as well. Not seen the tv show yet though - wonder if it will put me off?

Go to Victoria BC instead. That's where they filmed the US version. I had just had ds2 so I got to spend a week sitting on the couch feeding him &watching while they filmed in the house across the street!. The trucks all arrived in the middle of the night & in the morning our street had been taken over. It was a very strange week

Yes! Go! It's fabulous. Second the pizza place on the beach there but would recommend the short drive to Burton Bradstock and the sandy Hive Beach with its sister restaurant on the sea front, just heaven. Also don't miss the brilliant market in Bridport, and it's permanent antique market too. The original River Cottage is close by, as is the new HQ, well worth a visit!
