The Assassination of Katie Hopkins?

Am I the only one who thinks this show is incredibly distasteful? I am not a fan of Katie Hopkins but I recognise that she is in fact a human being with feelings and has children. What are her children to make of this? How does she explain this to them? And her family? It must be deeply offensive.

It is one thing to explore the power of social media etc and quite another to have show written like this about someone who is still very much alive and well.

What are your thoughts?

Is this a show like the Gary glitter one done years ago? Haven't seen anything about it!

MardyArabella · 15/10/2018 16:15

purplecraze nice bit of whatabouttary but Hopkins and choudrey are two sides of the same coin.

BertrandRussell · 15/10/2018 16:30

Oh, purplecraze- don't be so predictable!

Bombardier25966 · 15/10/2018 16:44

@purplecraze is doing a grand job of summing up the play's message. We're all heavily influenced by media reporting, just some keep an open mind and look for the full story, and others are taken in by a salacious headline and effectively fall for propoganda.

There is a show called this?

why have I not seen it

she deserves everything she gets, she really is one that has it coming

LividAtDolphins · 15/10/2018 18:32

She encouraged the murder of refugees fleeing civil war. Via a national newspaper! She's probably worse than that muslim guy tbf.

I'm confused, are they putting this on TV? It's been on stage for months.

I was thinking that, the one where GG is sentenced to death? It was interesting.

the woman is bitter and angry for no reason

It makes her a good living, maybe that's why. I remember her on The Apprentice, it all seemed to be an act, provoking a reaction.
