Embarrassing situation

Hi every body don't know if anyone can help me but I am in receipt of healthy start vouchers today I tried to use them as normal and when they scanned them through it said on the screen they had either been expired or blocked this has never happened before it was highly embarrassing with a loads of people behind me the cashier basically accused me of using used vouchers & i had not bought any cash out with me to pay for the fruit and milk they defo are not used as I just got em through the post :((

Meant to add anyone have any clue why they would be blocked ??

Are they dated? If I remember correctly, I once had an issue where I'd not noticed the 'Valid From' date hadn't been reached yet, and I had to wait another week to use them. It didn't say they were blocked or anything, but it may be a similar issue, perhaps? Is there not a number to call and discuss?

I think the cashier has used the term "blocked" when really they just weren't accepted. Check the valid from date. If that's not the problem, then are you able to wait until tomorrow to call up (assuming there is a phone number on the voucher) and ask what's going on?

Where did you use them? Not all shops will take them, if you go on the Healthy Start website you can check which shops in your postcode accept them.

oh gosh i had this in the coop. went to use some and didnt realise they were out of date. they made a big show of me “trying to use expired vouchers” was pretty humiliating.

My vouchers are not out of date I just received them I used them in this same .supermarket there is no valid from date only valid to and they are vaild till Nov the 11th so I'm wondering why they got blocked or if it's ever happened to anyone else .

Might just be a computer glitch. Ring them tomorrow and check it our
