DD wants this branded crop top. She's 10. AIBU to say no?

Don't really see a problem with it. DD is 8 and lives in sports type crop tops at home as constantly practicing dance and tumbling. Doesn't wear them out unless on route to a class though.

Anythingforacatslife · 13/10/2018 17:47

It’s not skimpy and it’s not a crop top, it’s a tshirt.

Knackeredmommy · 13/10/2018 17:48

My 10 yr old wears these, she usually has a vest under and jeans and her tummy isn't exposed.

dontputmeinapinkbox · 13/10/2018 17:50

I wouldn’t be too bothered about the length but the price!!! It would bother me if my DD wanted to spend loads just for the branding

Dandybelle · 13/10/2018 17:51

Could you insist she wears a fitted white vest top underneath?

MrsFoxPlus4 · 13/10/2018 17:54

Unless she is tall or long bodied that’s not very cropped.

itssquidstella · 13/10/2018 17:55

I think that one is fine. I don't like the bra style ones on anyone, child or adult, because I think they usually look quite tacky. That's just a short tshirt, though.

emmeyebea · 13/10/2018 17:56

Fine for a holiday or whatever, but it's the middle of October, and that is really a summer top, so it isn't really appropriate for the weather. She'll have outgrown it by May next year.

lexi727 · 13/10/2018 18:36

The thought of it makes me cringe, so no you're not

ZanyMobster · 13/10/2018 19:04

I thought you meant a skimpy tight crop top which personally I would have agreed is no appropriate but that top I reckon is pretty standard for a 10yo and I would say is definitely ok.

Flowerpot2005 · 13/10/2018 19:09

No, not for me in a 10yr old.

Kittykat93 · 13/10/2018 19:18

Haven't looked at the link but I don't like seeing really young girls in crop tops. Not that there's anything wrong with a stomach showing but I just don't like it personally. I'd be telling my daughter to wait a few years.

ZanyMobster · 13/10/2018 19:44

Kitty if you look at the link it's not a really a crop top.
